Less is More
Isn’t it a wonder how much stuff we accumulate over time? We acquire things that are needed or think we need all the time. And then there are things that we no longer need or even want anymore. We make every effort to gift serving platters, mugs, and too big or too small sweaters to friends and family. Guests are implored to take a plate of party food home and to keep the plate. The Vietnam Vets are on speed dial for donations on a regular basis.
Getting organized is ongoing and some days we are overwhelmed at how much there is to do. But other times it feels good to gaze upon a decluttered and reorganized part of our home.
And of course there has to be a connection that when you open up the physical spaces your home you also open up your mental and emotional spaces. One can make room for what is essential, what is meaningful, what is useful in your life. Perhaps making mental and physical spaces more open and less cluttered will allow room for new ideas to take root in our hearts and minds. Or maybe we can dig deeper into ideas that are already forming in these spaces and bring more joy and peace into our lives.
